Mudances

Synopsis of Mudances

Lívia is a young translator who prefers independence and avoids deep ties, while Marcel is a recently retired watchmaker whose life, until now predictable, takes a turn when his wife decides to separate. After suffering a traumatic assault, Lívia flees in search of refuge, coincidentally ending up in the same town as Marcel. There, both characters begin a complex game of encounters and near-misses that explores vulnerability and the search for a new beginning. Written by Gemma Sardà, this novel stands out for its natural prose, filled with tragic comedy and a great richness of linguistic registers.
