«Mujeres que leían» is the contemporary novel by Rosa Huertas, published by Tres Hermanas in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
The work starts from the author's mother and the women of her family to speak of all those who, in the Spanish postwar period, dreamed of being more than wives and mothers. Many hid a voice, an artistic skill, or a desire to create; one of them, the mother, managed to fulfill one of her small dreams seventy years later.
The work belongs to the Tierras de la Nieve Roja collection, published by Tres Hermanas in Madrid in 2019.
For readers aged 13 and up looking for contemporary fiction with a feminist perspective and mother-daughter relationships at the center of the narrative.
