«Muna» is a children's book by Beatriz Berrocal Pérez, illustrated by Claudia Legnazzi, published by Editorial Everest in paperback (84 pages).
Muna tells of the summer when Roberto, a nine-year-old boy, and his family host a girl from the Sahara as part of a hosting program. Written in the first person by Roberto, the story shows the contrast between the everyday comforts of his home and Muna's life, marked by shortages such as lack of water and electricity. The coexistence proves an enriching experience that invites reflection on other cultures.
The book belongs to the Leer es vivir collection and was published on January 7, 2009.
Recommended for readers aged 10 and up, especially for those who want to reflect on cultural diversity and empathy.
