«Muséum» is the thriller by Véronique Roy, published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback (411 pages, in French).
At the Natural History Museum in Paris, a meteorite predating the solar system seems to prove the extraterrestrial origin of life and reignites the tension between Darwinism and creationism. The piece disappears and ritual crimes shake the institution. The author, who worked at the museum as an archivist, knows its ins and outs.
The original Fayard edition, from 2006, includes Luc Fivet as a contributor; this paperback edition was published in 2008.
For readers of thrillers and mysteries with a scientific setting, especially those who enjoy stories set in museums.
