«Música no faiado» is the children's and young adult novel by Miguel Ángel Alonso Diz, published by Edicións Xerais in hardcover (136 pages, in Galician).
Lucía and Miguel hear noises in the attic and, investigating, bring to light a family story silenced for years. The narrative, through the innocent eyes of the siblings, addresses repression, emigration, racism and fear, and traces twentieth-century music as a reflection of the past of many Galician families.
Includes twelve illustrations by Laura Tova and belongs to the Merlín collection, aimed at readers from 11 years old.
For young readers who want to approach the recent memory of Galicia through a family story.
