«My War in Morocco» is the historical essay by Guillermo Serrano Sáenz de Tejada, published by Independently published in paperback (311 pages, in English).
The work reconstructs the Rif War (1921-1927) from military archives and twenty-four letters by cavalry officer Sáenz de Tejada, many written from the front. It recounts the conflict in which Spain defended its Protectorate in Morocco against the insurrection led by Mohamed ben Abd el Krim el Khattaby, offering a close perspective on military life and on an episode considered a prelude to the Spanish Civil War of 1936.
Recommended for readers interested in Spanish military history, the Protectorate in Morocco, and the background to the Civil War.
