«Nada del otro mundo» is Antonio Muñoz Molina's collection of short stories, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (268 pages, in Spanish).
The stories start from recognizable situations —a husband's revenge, an unhealthy love, the promise of happiness in a song— and, through an unexpected twist, become ghost stories. The author turns the everyday into something ghostly and creates an unsettling atmosphere.
It belongs to the Ave Fénix collection, number 234/1. The work was published in Spain in 1997.
For readers interested in the contemporary Spanish short story and in brief tales with fantastic twists.
Antonio Muñoz Molina is a Spanish writer, a full member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 8 June 1995. He received the 1991 Premio Planeta, the 2013 Jerusalem Prize, and the 2013 Prince of Asturias Award for literature.
