«Nashi» is the short story collection by Sergei Dovlatov, published by Azbuka in paperback (153 pages, in Russian).
«Nashi» brings together interlinked stories in which Dovlatov portrays his own family, from his grandparents to his Soviet life and exile. With bittersweet humor and a sober style, eccentric and close characters appear; the work addresses identity, the absurdity of the system and family ties without judging anyone.
Original title: «Наши» («ours»); the work was originally published in 1983 and this Azbuka edition is from 2004.
A work suitable for readers of Russian fiction and of stories with humor and social criticism.
