«Neue Freunde für den kleinen Biber» is the children's story (picture reader book) by Rosemarie Künzler-Behncke, published by Ravensburger in hardcover (28 pages).
A strong storm leaves the little beaver without his home and separates him from his friends. He roams the forest in search of shelter and finds other animals (a fox, a hedgehog, a fawn) who also need it; together they discover that friendship helps overcome any adversity.
Subtitled 'Eine Geschichte; [ein Lesebilderbuch]'. In this format, some words are replaced by small pictures. Published in 2004.
For early readers who do not master all words: the pictures replacing some words allow them to follow the story more independently.
