«Ni pena ni miedo» is the biography of Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gómez, published by Editorial Ariel in hardcover (248 pages, in Spanish), with the subtitle «Un juez, una vida y la lucha por ser quienes somos».

The book is a declaration of principles by the magistrate, who reviews his childhood, his family and his judicial career, as well as the difficulties he has had to face due to his condition as a married gay man. The title comes from a geoglyph by the Chilean poet Raúl Zurita and he has it tattooed on his wrist; for Marlaska it is a motto of resistance against fear and a vindication of the ethical revolution against corruption, gender violence or animal abuse.

The full subtitle is «Un juez, una vida y la lucha por ser quienes somos». The work includes a prologue by Nativel Preciado. The author was born in Bilbao, entered the judicial career in 1987, was a magistrate of the Audiencia Nacional since 2006 and has been a member of the General Council of the Judiciary.
