This book offers concrete advice and strategies for parents of hyperactive children, providing up-to-date information to help them understand and address their children's special needs. Russell A. Barkley, an internationally recognized expert, provides tools to control hyperactive children in various daily situations and techniques to improve their school performance. Overwhelmed by multiple and contradictory advice, as well as the daily frustrations of raising children, many parents of hyperactive children often feel permanently exhausted, confused, and helpless. They forget that they know their children best and, consequently, end up giving control of the situation to other people.
