«No te mereces nada» is the contemporary novel by Alexander Maksik, published by Roca Editorial in paperback (272 pages, in Spanish).
William Silver, a charismatic teacher at a Paris high school, uses unorthodox methods: his colleagues distrust him, but his students adore him. His classes on Camus, Faulkner, Sartre or Keats feed the students' ethical consciousness. Silver does not live up to his ideals and succumbs to a temptation that will change his life.
Translation by Santiago del Rey. The work was originally published in English as You Deserve Nothing (2011). It belongs to the Miscelánea collection.
Contemporary fiction with ethical dilemmas and a Parisian academic setting; suitable for reading clubs and readers of literary fiction.
Alexander Maksik is an American novelist. He is the author of The Long Corner (2022) and You Deserve Nothing (2011).
