«Nuestros antepasados» is the volume of three short novels by Italo Calvino, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback (405 pages, in Spanish).
«El vizconde demediado», «El barón rampante» and «El caballero inexistente» are three short novels combining fantasy and allegory: a man split in two, a nobleman who lives in trees, and a knight who never quite exists. Calvino reflects on identity, freedom, and the human condition with irony and depth.
This volume brings together Calvino's original trilogy «I nostri antenati», published in 1960, within the Alianza Tres collection.
For readers of fantasy and allegorical literature, as well as for those wishing to approach a twentieth-century Italian classic.
