This book presents an innovative proposal for Social Work with Families, adopting the perspective of empowerment. The concept of empowerment is defined, highlighting its main characteristics and differentiating it from other approaches in social work. The concept is operationalized through eight principles applied in an intervention dynamic in three phases. The aim is to contribute to the development of attitudes and models of organization and intervention that allow addressing the challenges of contemporary societies in a comprehensive manner.
