«Nuevos animales de compañía» is Florence Desachy's guide to alternative pets, published by De Vecchi in hardcover (160 pages, in Spanish).
The book deals with NAC (new companion animals), pets other than dogs and cats: small rodents, birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians and spiders. It explains their habits, how to choose a specimen and set up cages, aquariums and terrariums, and provides guidelines for preventing diseases and caring for their well-being.
The author, a veterinarian in Paris, has published other works on animals with De Vecchi, such as «El jerbo», «Vivir con su roedor» and «La educación del perro».
For those who live with or want to live with unconventional pets and seek a practical guide on their care.
