«O cabaleiro Pepino» is an illustrated children's story by Carmen Gil Martínez, published by OQO Editora in hardcover (64 pages, in Galician).
Pepino thinks that, if he becomes a brave knight, he will deserve the love of Princess Rigoberta. On his way he helps everyone he meets and, upon arriving at the castle, his outlandish appearance and lack of war trophies do not fit the idea of a hero; even so, his kindness and generosity will have happy consequences.
Published in 2007 in the Q collection and illustrated by Anna Castagnoli.
Ages 8 and up; aimed at young readers and those who value illustrated stories about kindness over appearances.
