«O carnaval dos animais» is the children's picture book with CD by José Antonio Abad, published by Kalandraka in hardcover (36 pages, in Galician).
Camille Saint-Saëns's humorous suite, composed in 1886, sets the rhythm for a celebration in which the world's fauna marks the Lion King's anniversary. José Antonio Abad writes the story that guides listening to the orchestral music, and João Vaz de Carvalho portrays this party full of animals and fantasy with caricature figures.
Published in 2013 in the Book-CD collection, with music performed by the Academy of London. Includes 18 illustrations and is recommended for ages 5 and up.
Designed for early readers and for families who want to introduce children to classical music in a playful and visual way.
