«O Mandarim» is the novel by Portuguese writer Eça de Queirós, published by Edi9 in 2010, in Spanish.
It tells the story of Teodoro, a modest civil servant who receives an unusual proposal: to press a button to kill a mandarin in China and inherit his fortune.
