«O pequeno indio» is the children's picture book by Ricardo Alcántara, illustrated by Gusti, published by Kalandraka in hardcover (14 pages, in Galician).
Brais imagines himself as Cara Pintada, a little warrior of the Muy Lapeiros tribe, and moves his games to the Wild West of Indian and cowboy movies. His imagination turns any everyday object into a feather headdress, a swift mount or a sure aim bow, and echoes that of «O pirata valente».
First edition in 2019; belongs to the Acartonados collection, Pre-readers section, from Kalandraka. Includes 12 illustrations.
Picture book aimed at children aged 3 to 6; its symbolic play and Indian and cowboy aesthetic fit the tastes of those ages.
