«Obscuritas» is the crime novel by David Lagercrantz, published by Columna CAT in hardcover (560 pages, in Catalan).
In the summer of 2003, a soccer referee is found dead on the outskirts of Stockholm. The evidence points to Giuseppe Costa, father of one of the players involved, but he does not confess and the case is eventually closed. Police officer Micaela Vargas does not accept this and, some time later, convinces Hans Rekke, an aristocrat and interrogation expert, to reopen the investigation. The search will take them from Sweden's high society to Taliban Afghanistan and to music schools in the former Soviet Union.
First installment in the Rekke and Vargas series, from the Clàssica collection. Translated into Catalan by Pontus Sánchez Giménez.
Aimed at readers of thrillers and Scandinavian crime fiction looking for a multi-layered investigation with social contrasts.
David Lagercrantz is a Swedish journalist and bestselling writer known as the author of I am Zlatan Ibrahimovic and The Girl in the Spider's Web, the fourth through sixth installments in the Millennium series. He is also a columnist for Swedish Newspaper Expressen.
