«Oggy and the Dinosaur» is a graded reading children's book by Damian Harvey, published by Franklin Watts in paperback (24 pages, in English).
Oggy goes in search of a dinosaur in a very simple rhyming story designed for early readers. The text, of 50 to 100 words, uses one sentence per page and illustrations that support the narrative; the tension of the adventure lies in knowing what will happen when the protagonist meets the dinosaur's mother.
Published in September 2004, with illustrations by François Hall, it belongs to the Reading Corner collection, Grade 1 level (number 36 in the series).
Recommended for children aged 5 and up who are starting to read in English and need to gain confidence and reading pace.
