«Olivia no sabe perder» is the children's story by Elvira Lindo, published by EDICIONES SM in hardcover (24 pages, in Spanish).
Olivia is bored at home until a game of Chutes and Ladders with her mother and grandparents reveals a lesson: winning is not what matters, and the best part of the game is taking part and having fun. An everyday story that opens the way to talk to children about frustration and emotions when losing.
It is number 9 in the Cuentos de ahora collection, with illustrations by Emilio Urberuaga, and was published on March 1, 2005.
Aimed at children aged 3 to 5, with cursive lettering, and useful for working on frustration in early childhood.
Escritora, guionista y periodista española, autora de la serie infantil Manolito Gafotas y de novelas para adultos como 'A corazón abierto'. Ganó el Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil en 1998.
