«Onderhuids» is the psychological suspense novel by Nicci French, published by Ambo/Anthos Uitgevers in paperback (351 pages, in Dutch).
Three women with no apparent connection —Zoë, Jennifer and Nadia— receive anonymous letters announcing their deaths. The police investigate and turn their lives upside down: the secrets each one keeps come to light and their relationships falter. The sender watches all three day and night and waits for the moment to act.
The original work, «Beneath the Skin», was published in 2000; this Dutch edition includes the translation by Molly van Gelder and Eelco Vijzelaar.
