Set in Amsterdam, the story follows a character adrift: he moves through the city without direction, in a drift that is also interior. The novel thus portrays the disorientation of someone who seems unable to find their place, between the urban landscape and their own life.
The work, published in 1999 by Meulenhoff, is number 1770 in the Meulenhoff editie series and is written in Dutch.
The book is aimed at readers of contemporary Dutch fiction looking for short novels with an urban setting.
