«Óscar y Arabella» is Neal Layton's children's picture book, published by Serres in hardcover (32 pages, in Spanish).
Óscar and Arabella are two woolly mammoths from prehistoric times. Although mammoths are said to have been a bit clumsy, they are very smart and have to find a way to escape the most horrible creature on Earth. The story combines humor, wacky situations and expressive illustrations, ideal for the youngest readers.
The Spanish-language edition was published in 2009.
Intended for the very youngest readers, with its simple humor, imagination and striking illustrations.
Neal Layton is a British illustrator of children's books including Oscar and Arabella (2002) and Bartholomew and the Bug (2004) which won both the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize Bronze Awards.
