«Palabras a medias» is the contemporary novel by Blanca Busquets, published by Grijalbo in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).
The novel's starting point is the confession of a dying father: on the night of the 23-F coup attempt in 1981, he killed a man. His children Annabel, Albert and Nina, then in their twenties, become embroiled in a web of family secrets, smuggling, perfumes and romantic disappointments; each offers their own version and no one is what they seem.
The novel belongs to the Grijalbo Narrativa collection; its Spanish edition went on sale on October 16, 2014.
For readers of contemporary fiction looking for ensemble novels about family secrets and intertwined lives.
