«Passer l'hiver» is a short story collection by Olivier Adam, published by Éditions de l'Olivier in paperback (166 pages, in French).
«Passer l'hiver» brings together stories about ordinary people —a taxi driver, a nurse, an ex-convict, a supermarket cashier— who, exhausted and broken by life, retain an unexpected inner strength to cling to existence with the energy of desperation.
The work was originally published in 2004 in Paris.
Olivier Adam is a French author and screenwriter. His debut novel Je vais bien, ne t’en fais pas was adapted into the eponymous film. He also writes books for young adults, among them La messe anniversaire. Adam won the 2004 Prix Goncourt de la Nouvelle for Passer l'hiver.
