Synopsis of Pedro Salinas, Guillermo de Torre. Correspondencia 1927-1950
Este libro recopila la correspondencia entre Pedro Salinas y Guillermo de Torre entre 1927 y 1950. La correspondencia ofrece una visión íntima de la vida y obra de estos dos importantes escritores, así como del contexto cultural y literario de la época. Incluye análisis y comentarios de Carlos García y Juana María González. El corpus consta de treinta y una misivas en ambas direcciones, de las cuales veintidós son inéditas hasta ahora (nueve de Salinas y trece de De Torre). Ambos autores compartían intereses estéticos y mantuvieron estrecha relación con las revistas literarias del momento. Torre llegó a ser colaborador de la sección Archivos de Literatura Española Contemporánea del Centro de Estudios Históricos que dirigió Salinas. Tras la Guerra Civil, Torre se convirtió en una pieza fundamental para la edición y difusión de las obras de Salinas en el exilio, gracias a su trabajo en la editorial Losada, de la que era miembro fundador y accionista.

Pedro Salinas y Serrano was a Spanish poet, a member of the Generation of '27, as well as a university teacher, scholar and literary critic. In 1937, he delivered the Turnbull lectures at Johns Hopkins University. These were later published under the title Reality and the Poet in Spanish Poetry.
