«Per un tros de cel» is the children's and young adult novel by Danilo Guaitoli and Pere Puig, published by Cadí in paperback (156 pages, in Catalan).
In a village, families buy plots of sky as an investment and to show off. The business enriches the town council and the banks while debt grows and amusement parks are built. When almost all the sky is sold, the market collapses: work is scarce, prices fall, and the community suffers the consequences.
Illustrated by Pere Puig. First edition published in 2014 in the Llegir és viure collection; recommended reading for ages 10 to 12.
A reading designed for young readers approaching economics and speculation.
