«Pigui está contento» is the illustrated children's book by Mick Inkpen, published by Bruño in hardcover (180 pages, in Spanish).
Pigui the piglet, a tender and playful character, experiences situations that make him feel happy, busy, scared, or sad. With very brief and expressive sentences, handwritten lettering, and highlighted key words, this picture book introduces prereaders to basic vocabulary and emotion recognition, with illustrations by Mick Inkpen himself.
Translation by Mónica Gago; original title: Wibbly Pig is happy!. Recommended reading age: 2 to 4 years.
With its short text and expressive illustrations, it works well as shared read-aloud for children who do not yet read.
Mick Inkpen is a British author and illustrator. He is best known for his creations Kipper the Dog and Wibbly Pig.
