A former Castro revolutionary, disillusioned with the Cuban regime in 1962, joins the clandestine struggle and is arrested. Sentenced to twelve years in prison, he passes through several jails, including the Isla de Pinos penitentiary, where he adopts the attitude of the «plantado»: refusing to submit to the jailers.
Belongs to the Documento collection, no. 72; first edition 1981.
For readers interested in testimonies and chronicles about political repression in Castro's Cuba.
