In the ninth volume of Platinum End, the intense battle against Metropoliman comes to an end, but the death of Mukaidô still weighs on Saki and Mirai. With Metropoliman out of the game, the poaching of god candidates ends, opening the door to possible negotiations between the remaining ones. In this new scenario, Susumu Yuito, who appeared alongside Metropoliman, makes an unexpected move and appears before the cameras of Sakura TV with a proposal for all humanity.
