«Platón en 90 minutos» is Paul Strathern's philosophy primer, published by Siglo XXI in paperback (70 pages, in Spanish).
The book traces Plato's biography from his early attempts as a wrestler and tragic poet to his encounter with Socrates, which steered him toward philosophy. It then presents his main ideas in an accessible tone and frames them within the history of philosophy; it closes with a chronology and a selection of quotations from Theaetetus, Phaedo, and The Republic.
The work was published in 1998. It is part of the Philosophers in 90 Minutes series and bears the subtitle (428-348 BC).
Aimed at philosophy students and readers with no prior knowledge who want an introduction to Plato.
Paul Strathern is a Scots-Irish writer and academic.
