«Pobre Manolito» is the young adult novel by Elvira Lindo, published by Alfaguara in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist, Manolito Gafotas, is a boy so talkative that he can exhaust his family, his teachers, and all of Carabanchel Alto. He returns after his first installment as chatty as ever and, although extraordinary things don't happen to him, he has the gift of telling everyday life as unforgettable adventures.
Second installment of the Manolito Gafotas saga, with illustrations by Emilio Urberuaga. The work was originally published in 1995.
A reading recommended for young people aged 14 and over and for those who enjoy the humor and costumbrista stories of Spanish children's literature.
Escritora, guionista y periodista española, autora de la serie infantil Manolito Gafotas y de novelas para adultos como 'A corazón abierto'. Ganó el Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil en 1998.
