«Pol Pots wunderschöne Tochter» is Geoff Ryman's collection of science fiction stories, published by Golkonda Verlag in hardcover (2014, in German).
Six stories that take people to extreme situations: selling one's own body to survive, war against a superior enemy, parental guilt, a samurai legend, a ghost story in Cambodia, and a future in which biotechnology is already among us. Ryman alternates the most intense beauty with horror and maintains a political and moral tension.
First German edition of these six stories, with translations by Hans-Ulrich Möhring, Karlheinz Schlögel and Anne-Marie Wachs.
For readers of speculative fiction and short narrative interested in moral dilemmas, historical memory and possible futures.
