«Por qué pintan los gatos» is the photographic essay by Heather Busch and Burton Silver, published by Taschen in hardcover (96 pages, in Spanish).
Starting from the idea that cats create art, Heather Busch and Burton Silver ironically develop a theory of feline aesthetics. With photographs and illustrations of cats among brushes and splashes of color, the book turns their gestures and behaviors into a form of artistic expression.
Original title: Why Cats Paint: A Theory of Feline Aesthetics. This Spanish edition is from 1995.
For cat and art lovers who enjoy an ironic and satirical take on feline creativity.
