«Protagonistes femenines a la "Vita Christi"» is the religious essay by Isabel de Villena, published by LaSal in 1987 in paperback (180 pages, in Catalan).
The text focuses on the female figures of the Gospel and openly defends the moral superiority of women over men. This defense makes it a notable work in the history of women's literature and a testimony to the vindication of women.
This edition includes an introduction by Rosanna Cantavella, a transcription by Lluïsa Parra and bibliographic references; it is part of the Clàssiques catalanes collection (no. 15).
Aimed at readers of Catalan literature and cultural history, as well as those studying the female presence in the Christian tradition.
