«Púrpura profundo» is the erotic novel by Mayra Montero, published by Tusquets Editores S.A. in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
Music critic Agustín Cabán, recently retired, sets out to write his memoirs to evoke the lovers who marked his life: a Caribbean violinist, an Australian pianist, and other performers. Between episodes of eroticism and obsession, the novel explores the union between music and sexual passion.
The novel belongs to the La Sonrisa Vertical collection (number 112) and was awarded the XXII Premio La Sonrisa Vertical in 2000.
A title for adult audiences, especially for those seeking erotic fiction with a musical backdrop.
Mayra Montero is a well-known Cuban-Puerto Rican writer.
