«¿Qué día es hoy?/What Day Is It?» is the bilingual children's story by Alex Moran, published by Harcourt Brace & Co in paperback.
Gil, a little ant, is convinced that all his friends have forgotten his birthday: none of them seems to remember what day it is. The story shows how the misunderstanding turns into a surprise celebration. The English text appears at the top of each page and the Spanish at the bottom; the book closes with an activity to make a bookmark.
The book, 28 pages, belongs to the Green Light Readers series (level 1) and features illustrations by Daniel Moreton and Spanish translation by Alma Flor Ada and F. Isabel Campoy.
Aimed at early readers aged 4 to 7 who are starting bilingual Spanish-English reading.
