«¿Qué me quieres, amor?» is the collection of short stories by Manuel Rivas, published in 1999 by RBA Coleccionables in hardcover (172 pages, in Spanish).
The lack of communication in a world saturated with information and the different faces of love are the common thread of these stories. Manuel Rivas combines harshness, tenderness and humor in tales such as the friendship between a schoolboy and an anarchist teacher in «La lengua de las mariposas», a story adapted into a movie.
The work was awarded the Premio Torrente Ballester and the Premio Nacional de Narrativa; this edition belongs to the Nueva Narrativa collection.
For readers of short stories and contemporary Spanish literature, also for those seeking the origin of the movie «La lengua de las mariposas».
Manuel Rivas Barrós is a Galician writer, poet and journalist.
