«Que menino mais lento!» is the children's picture book by Lucía Serrano, published by Fondo de Cultura Económica in hardcover (36 pages, in Spanish).
Néstor does things at his own pace, calmly, and that is how he is happy. The people around him do not understand him, they get impatient and pressure him until the boy becomes sad and gray. An unexpected landscape shows Néstor that everything in life has its own time.
The Spanish edition was published in 2010 within the collection Los Especiales de A la Orilla del Viento. The album won the A la Orilla del Viento Picture Book Contest in 2009.
Recommended for children aged 4 to 8; a story to reflect on respect for individual rhythms and patience.
