«Qui paga, mana» is the novel by Xavier Moret, published by Editorial Empúries in paperback (232 pages, in Catalan).
Max Riera, an ex-hippy from Barcelona's Plaça Reial, receives a call from Pau Gispert, a former companion turned yuppie, who commissions a soap opera with sex, drugs, chases and deaths. He roams the city's sordid haunts and discovers that to write such fiction, one only needs to stroll the streets: in Barcelona, anything is possible.
First installment of the Max Riera series and volume 70 of the Narrativa collection from Empúries.
