«Quiero escribirte esta noche una carta de amor» is the epistolary essay by Ángeles Caso, published by Lumen in paperback (464 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together the love letters of fifteen women writers, from Heloise of Argenteuil to Simone de Beauvoir, and the stories that inspired them. Ángeles Caso combines the missives with biographical sketches that work as micronovels, offering a journey through different ways of experiencing desire, passion, uncertainty and romantic disillusionment.
The book is part of Lumen's Narrativa collection. Ángeles Caso, author of the essay, won the Planeta Prize in 2009.
A work for readers of essays and correspondence interested in women's history and stories of great love affairs.
