«Raíz de amor. Antología poética» is the anthology of love poetry selected and introduced by Ana Pelegrín, published by Santillana Educación, S.L. in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together love poems by Spanish and Latin American authors of the 20th century, including Alberti, Neruda, Lorca, Benedetti, Pizarnik and Cernuda. Love is approached from different perspectives: childhood memory, filial and paternal love, passion, heartbreak, melancholy and the absence left by those who do not love; poetry is presented as a way of writing love and life.
It belongs to the Serie roja collection. Anthologies of Alfaguara Juvenil, in its first edition of 1999. It includes a selection and prologue by Ana Pelegrín, and brings together a roster of 20th-century poets in Spanish and Ibero-American language.
Intended for young readers who approach poetry through the theme of love, as well as for those who want to discover a sample of great 20th-century poets.
