«Relatos sombríos. Historias mágicas» is a collection of stories by Remy de Gourmont, published by El Nadir in paperback (266 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together two collections of French symbolism: Proses moroses and Histoires magiques. These are stories of somber atmosphere and unsettling fantasy, with refined prose that portrays the intensity of passions, cruelty, oddities and the ambiguity of feelings.
The translation is by María Inglés. The two texts were originally published in 1894 by Mercure de France. This edition is from 2009.
It is aimed at readers of classic and symbolist fiction seeking short stories with a dark atmosphere and refined style.
