«Réquiem por una furcia» is the humorous novel by Álvaro de Laiglesia, published by Planeta in paperback (236 pages, in Spanish).
Mapi, a lively young woman, recalls the funniest episodes of her hectic life. With humor and irony, Álvaro de Laiglesia satirizes the Spanish society of his time and closes, at least for now, the series starring Mapi. The title plays on the liturgical sense of the requiem, but here rest is understood in a humorous key.
Álvaro de Laiglesia (1922-1981) published this novel in 1976 in Planeta's Colección Popular, where it appears as number 28.
For readers seeking satirical humor in twentieth-century Spanish fiction or wanting to follow Mapi's adventures.
Álvaro de Laiglesia was a Spanish writer and humorist.
