«Rinaldo» is the illustrated children's story by Georgina Luisa García-Mauriño Sanchiz inspired by the opera by G. F. Händel, published by Ciudadela Libros in hardcover with CD (48 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings Händel's baroque opera «Rinaldo» to children through an illustrated tale that follows the crusader knight Rinaldo, in love with Almirena, on his journey to Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Love, war and magic intertwine in the story, and the CD allows listeners to hear the music while reading the tale. It also includes notes with information about the composer and a listening guide.
It is volume 4 of the collection «Cuéntame una Ópera», also published under the series «Infantil y juvenil».
Recommended for children aged 4 and up, and for adults and children to share a first approach to opera.
