«Robinson Crusoe» is the graded reader in English by Elizabeth Gray, an adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic, in paperback (48 pages, Express Publishing).
In this adaptation, Robinson Crusoe is alone on a tropical island: climbing to its highest point, he finds no people or ships, only palm trees and sea. He wonders why he has survived and decides to make do as best he can in that environment, with the company of a dog and a parrot.
The cover states «retold by Elizabeth Gray»; it is a graded reader from Express Publishing for English learners (ELT/ESL), published on October 15, 2000.
Suitable for young people and adults studying English as a foreign language (ESL/EFL) who are looking for graded readers of classics.
Elizabeth Gray was a Scottish early fossil collector. Gray created scientifically organised collections of fossils for several museums.
