«Roma, peligro para caminantes» is a poetry collection by Rafael Alberti, published by Seix Barral in paperback (118 pages, in Spanish).
In «Roma, peligro para caminantes», Rafael Alberti turns the city of Rome into an emotional stage of uprootedness. The poems move between nostalgia and memory, the experience of inhabiting a foreign land and reflection on identity, with a language of suggestive images and a critical tone toward society and culture.
«Roma, peligro para caminantes» was originally published in 1968; this paperback edition from Seix Barral dates from January 1993.
A title for readers of twentieth-century Spanish poetry, especially those who want to discover the Rome of Rafael Alberti and the poet's view of exile.

Rafael Alberti Merello was a Spanish poet, a member of the Generation of '27. He is considered one of the greatest literary figures of the so-called Silver Age of Spanish Literature, and he won numerous prizes and awards. He died aged 96. After the Spanish Civil War, he went into exile because of his Marxist beliefs. On his return to Spain after the death of Franco, Alberti was named Hijo Predilecto de Andalucía in 1983, and Doctor Honoris Causa by the Universidad de Cádiz in 1985.
