«Rosas negras en Kosovo» is the young adult novel by Jesús Cortés Zarzoso, published by Algar Editorial in 2002 in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
The Kosovo war forces the Albanian-Kosovar population to flee en masse to neighboring countries. Among the exiles are Vuk Bukoshi, a former combatant, and Biljama Muthari, a farmer's daughter, whose destinies cross in the caravans of the exodus with disillusionment and hope as their only weapons. A story that delves into the tragedy of refugees and the barbarity of modern wars.
A read for young people aged 14 and over interested in realistic and historical novels about conflicts and refugees.
